This post mastectomy breast cancer hoodie with drain pockets is an affordable, comfortable way to manage drains post mastectomy, or any other surgery that may require them. This hoodie allows you to go out with your surgical drains and feel normal. The best part is, it can still be worn after surgery. The pockets are useful for so many things! The perfect gift to help a loved one feel better about their breast cancer diagnosis and surgical recovery.
This long sleeve sweatshirt has two large pockets that can hold multiple drains on each side. There is one large pocket inside each front flap of the hoodie. This lightweight hoodie is so comfortable to put on and zip up since you will be unable to lift your arms after surgery.
These hoodies run true to size. Ordering in your normal size will allow a comfortable fit with the drains. It is made of the softest tri-blend fabric - tencel/spandex/polyester.

When I had my bilateral mastectomy I had no idea that the drains would be the worst part of it. I asked around to see what I could do to make the process easier. I was told you had to attach them to the inside of your clothes with little safety pins. Then you had to undo and redo the safety pins multiple times a day, on multiple drains, to empty them. Not easy when you are sore and feeling terrible. After doing some research online and finding post surgery camisoles cost upwards of $60 each, for something you only need for two to four weeks, I decided to sew pockets to the inside of some of my shirts and it made the whole process so much easier. The nurses also really appreciated it because they are often the ones doing the pinning in the first couple of days after surgery.
Please feel free to send me a convo with any questions. If your surgery is coming up very soon, please contact me before ordering to ensure I can get you this shirt on time...I will do my best! Going thru a difficult surgery is hard enough. I am hoping this product makes things a little bit easier.
